Green Apple Sausage (Foodie Friday #36)

Ok last sugar detox recipe…unless yall want more then just ask!!  I really enjoyed making my own breakfast sausage and this one is very flavorful, plus green apples!!  Great news, its really easy to make and has very few ingredients.

While you can eat the sausage alone it would go great in a breakfast sandwich, paired with an egg or carrots, chopped up and mixed into an egg concoction, the possibilities are endless.

Extra bonus this takes less than 15 minutes to make!  I love quick recipes that taste delicious 🙂

  • 1 pound ground pork (ok to sub ground turkey/beef/chicken)
  • 1 green apple, peeled, finely diced

In a mixing bowl combine all ingredients and mix by hand until well combined and evenly incorporated.  Form into 8 evenly sized patties.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat (no oil needed).  Place patties in hot skillet and cook for 5 minutes on each side until well browned and cooked through.  2 patties per serving.  Good same day or leftover for the rest of the week.
